# FolioSpan privacy (short)

FolioSpan is local-first. Holdings live in on-device SQLite unless the user signs in and opts into cloud sync.

- Wallet tracking uses a **public address** only. No seed phrase, no private key.
- KYC is not required to scan a wallet.
- Optional account (email, Google, Apple) is for cloud sync and store purchases.
